Jeff Receives Perfect Score from Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber
And the winners are ... Jeff Berding and Chris Bortz. Those are the only two members of Cincinnati City Council who rated perfect scores in the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber’s first “Candidate Scorecard.” The chamber interviewed candidates then gave each a “thumbs-up” or a blank space in five categories - fiscal responsibility, leadership, having an innovative development agenda and support of business issues and government collaboration.
“The scorecard is not an endorsement of a candidate. Rather, it’s provided as a service,” said Chris Kemper, chamber spokesman.
Only five candidates (four of them Republicans) received the chamber’s thumbs-up in four of five categories. They are Charlie Winburn, Amy Murray, Chris Monzel, Leslie Ghiz and Roxanne Qualls. A Charterite, Qualls was denied the chamber’s approval in only one category – “supports business issues.”
